♥ These leather flip flops (sandals - santalia in Greece), are made of high-quality calf leather, which, because it's handmade, has its natural marks and texture (especially in beige), which make every pair of the sandals unique, apart from our crafting and beading.
The bottom part is made of rubber.
They get darker as time goes by and they get the shape of the foot since natural leather always stretches out.
They were worn (the plain ones) by some of the biggest names in Art and show-biz including the Beatles, Jackie Onassis, Rudolf Nureyev, Sophia Loren and they are based on the footwear of Socrates, Plato, Pericles, Achilles and Helen of Troy.

Please kindly protect all vachetta and suede leather with a waterproof spray. To be safe, first test the spray in an inconspicuous area. If all is well, go ahead and apply the spray all over your suede shoes or other suede items, and let it dry completely.

Avoid getting them wet with sea water. ​ In case of contact with water, do not rub the leather: use a clear dry cloth and apply a gentle tapping motion to absorb the liquid. If stains occur, dab the whole area with a damp soft cloth and leave to air dry. Apply a clear leather cream using gentle circling motions.

To clean calf hair (pony) leather we kindly recommend using a damp cloth or a soft brush, always working in the direction of the grain, never brushing the fur back and forth. Regular gentle brushing will prevent a build-up of dirt and the consequent matting.
